Laura Glenn

Laura is a fully qualified fitness and Pilates instructor who relocated to Belfast from Aberdeen, Scotland in 2017. She teaches group exercise, dance and Pilates at various Pilates Studios, gyms, leisure facilities and dance studios and has worked with local authorities and schools to deliver outreach workshops and projects in schools and with community groups.

Laura became interested in Pilates about 14 years ago after being recommended sessions by her physio after sustaining a bad injury from marathon training. Already trained and working as a fitness and dance instructor, Laura was amazed by how much Pilates, more than anything else, improved her overall strength and running form. In 2013 she did an intensive one-to-one teacher training with Pilates trainer, Ellie Herman, at her studio in Brooklyn, NY and completed her Level 3 Matwork certification when she returned home to the UK. She has since done further specialisation courses with Body Control Pilates including her pre and post-natal qualification, which she has a particular interest in.

Laura believes the principles you learn in Pilates lends itself to every other form of exercise you participate in and daily movement you make. The greater awareness you have of your body and posture means it becomes second nature in everything you do, helping to prevent injury and ensure good physical health.

Laura lives with her husband, son, and golden retriever.
